Excellent!.. Owners are great local folks. Room was nice and clean and bed was very comfy. Has Directv fridge and microwave! Will stay again next time I'm in town
Rooms are a bit dated but for an old “motor court” hotel it has held up nicely. Owner-host was as friendly and gracious as could be. Wonderful stay.
ACTUALLY this is 4.5 Stars! They are renovating, the rooms are very comfortable if small, but for the price they were very freindly, helpful, inexpensive. Good king bed, very good A/C, nice carpet, clean, well stocked. The only "issues" I had were the power outlets were all old style 2 prong ones and the curtains were not dark. The parking lot lights (good security!) lit the room much more than we like, but not bad. Plus made us a grwat deal on the kingsize bed room cuz the cable box broke but we weren't interested in watching TV anyway. So we had a very good night on our travels. I would gladly stop there again!
I decided to take the scenic route (U.S. Highway system) on my road trip from Utah to Ohio. I read reviews and spent my first night at the Bunk House Motel. The proprietor really made me feel comfortable. I had an issue with the room she gave me and she quickly remedied the situation by transferring me to another room. Room had DirecTV subscription. Everything worked including the sink, toilet, and shower. Bed was very comfortable. I like this place and I recommend it to other travelers that happen to find themselves here. It's a motel in the middle of nowhere so don't expect anything fancy. Leave your expectations out in the parking lot. Just relax and sleep well.
Great cozy place to stay! We needed somewhere for an extended stay and the owners have been so accommodating! It is a family run business and they are very nice. We are so happy we found this place to stay. It has cute decor, hot showers, comfy beds, free parking, microwave, refrigerator with small freezer, a closet, dresser and nice TV. Our room even has a desk. Along the side is a grassy area with picnic tables. A street over is a dollar general, which is nice. The main street is only a few blocks way. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!
The owner's are super great people and very accommodating. I loved the rustic feel of our room we had. Room was very clean. I am so glad they allowed pets. Not many places do. Hope to stay with them again in the near future.
We stayed at the Bunk House Motel recently when our daughter graduated from Chadron State College. This motel is nothing fancy, but is very clean and comfortable. Annette is super nice and made us feel very welcome. We traveled to Nebraska from Michigan and we pleasantly surprised to hear that Annette was a fellow Michigander. After the graduation ceremony, I noticed a text message from Annette....we left a phone charger in our room. GREAT customer service!!! I highly recommend staying here.
Very Happy we stopped at this one. Clean, cozy, rooms at a very reasonable price. The Lady at desk was very accomodating to anything we needed. Even said there would be coffee made in the morning at the office. We would definitely stay here again!
